Diagnosed with cancer
Tuesday 03. May 2011 kl: 12:05
It is a long time since I blogged here, but in December I was diagnosed with cancer and have been going to chemo therapy and two breast operations. It has been difficult months but now I am back again and started running again with the C25K program, so I will be blogging again about my running and exercise.
I am going to my 10th chemo therapy to morrow, but after that I have six chemo's left, and radiation for five weeks.
My goal this summer is to go for a 5K race in Juny and a 10K race in August

Blog about my DietWhat did I do in september
Saturday 02. October 2010 kl: 10:16
I must admit that I am really glad that I finished the Ironman challenge last month (September), but I also must admit that it took a lot of energy from me. I felt like I was always exercising and always organizing the next exercise. It was a lot of fun, but i have decided that this month will be all about food food food. When I exercise I eat more, and when I eat more, I want to eat some more, and I do not lose weight.
This happens when I am exercising over my.. what could I call it... threshold ? Well... How can I explain it...
When I started exercise one time run made me so tired, hungry and I felt like I had done so much that I struggled a bit with the portion sizes. When I had been moving around regularly for three months or so, three times a week run became a part of my routine so I didn't feel this body tiredness and I started to move around some more.
Since I started training for the 1/2 marathon I have been really exhausted.. and then came the ironman thing and wow that took a lot of energy from me, especially fitting the exercise time to my daily live and doing all other things I want to do.
I do not want to stop exercising, so now this month I am only going to exercise three times a week.
Monday: Run
Tuesday: Dance
Wednesday: Run practice and sometimes swim
Friday/Saturday: Run or do other exercise.
I know this is four times a week hehehe.. but you know how it is, sometimes things comes up, so this is the days I am going to use for exercising

Last month I did this
Swim: 3,8
Run: 42,6
Cycle: 181,1
I exercised for: 22h:58m
I think sometimes it is a good plan to take one step back to be able to go forward and now is that time in my live

And here is a picture of my beautiful nephew that my little sister just gave birth to

Blog about dietFew tips that I learned this week
Thursday 23. September 2010 kl: 20:30
This week I went to a lecture about what to do when the diet is over and it becomes a lifestyle change. The spokesperson was a Athletic and Exercise Psychologist (I guess there is some more advanced word for it) and there were a lot's of interesting stuff she talked about.-If you are nervous and stressed out, exercise makes you relax and the relaxation last for 24h! If you choose to relax systematically the relaxation from exercise last longer vs. the systematically relaxation.
-People who exercise regularly experience that their life get's fuller and they fell like their life quality are more v.s not doing any exercise.
-When we exercise the brain changes and people that are e.g getting old and starting to lose their memory (not Alzheimer or any other sickness, just because of old age) can make the memory better just by start to exercise and by doing that the brain makes some structural changes and you could say that it slow's down the aging progress.
-50% of people that start's to exercise stop after 6 months, and only 10% of them start again, but if you survive 9 months there are not that many people that stop exercising after that. So make sure you survive 9 months and then exercise is your new lifestyle.
-If you go to the gym after work, and you are starting to skip it, put your gym bag in your driving seat before you leave the car in the morning, so when you get from work you have to physical remind you of the gym by moving the gym bag. Then you put your thinking to the gym and before you know it you are driving to the gym

-The speaker also said "Exercise should be fun, there is nothing fun about having a blood taste in your mouth four times a week or the vomit in your throat and exercise don't have to be at the gym. Walking is also exercise."
-By focusing on the numbers (kg, fat%, cm) you are putting another stress factor in your life. Focus on the feeling not the numbers.
-Find some mantra that you say to yourself when you are giving up
"I am going to the Gym because I will feel better, be stronger, sleep better and I am more fun,I am going to the Gym because I will feel better, be stronger, sleep better and I am more fun, I am going to the Gym because I will feel better, be stronger, sleep better and I am more fun,I am going to the Gym because I will feel better, be stronger, sleep better and I am more fun"
-Find a backup plan before you hit the set back, not when you are at it. Be prepared what you are going to do after the exercise program is over, not when it is over, figure out what you are going to do exercise wise before you go to your summer vacation not when it is started.
-Write down why you are doing this, and write down what happens if you do not ?
There were a lot of things that were talked about, but this was what got my focus

Sunday 19. September 2010 kl: 17:33
I went cycling with my husband today and we went over 30k! I am trying to get the Ironman distance hehehe.. We had a lot of fun and talked about what are hills and what not. But we have not the same view on that
Every dump we went over was a hill in his mind, but my mind was a little different and we laughed about it the whole way
We went to a Coffey house to get some warm in our body but the trip was 2 hours

IRONMAN has this number
Bike: 134,8 km - left 45,2 km
Run: 31,2 km - left 11 km
Swimming: 2,8 km - left 1 km
I am so grateful that my husband supports me in this but he doesn't like exercise that much and by going on a long cycling trip is something he is doing just for me! *kiss*

Like my followers know I just started a new job on Friday and today was my second day.For the next six weeks there are health weeks and people are really taking it seriously and I think that is grate!
I just registered to go tomorrow to a trainer and he is going to weigh me and measure my fat % and stuff like that. I can also go to the gym for a week an I don't have to pay anything. There are lot's of try out classes but I really want to try out boxing, but I can' go on Saturday, but I am hoping there will be another class later on.
There is also a competition between departments and individuals and I register all my exercise
AND I am going outside for a 30min walk at lunch time with the girls! I can tell you that two years ago I would not be so exited about this. But now I am loving it and I think I am so lucky to start my new job just when the health weeks starts WHOWHO!!!!
I cycled 15.6km today!!!
